WAC Premier Hardware/Network Support
This is a preventative maintenance program designed to protect your systems and data. Services include assuring that your virus protection and firewall software are up to date and functioning, back-up procedures are functioning, the latest service packs are installed, hard drive space is adequate, and temporary files are cleaned out, etc.
 
  • Check workstation and server hard drives for adequate disc space and that all unnecessary temporary files are deleted
  • Check server and all workstations to make sure that all operating system patches and updates are current and installed
  • Check server and all workstations to make sure that all security patches and updates are current and installed
  • Review server event logs for problems
  • Review server log set up to assure that all relevant events are being captured
  • Make sure virus protection software is loaded on all workstations and that both virus definitions and software is up to date
  • Make sure firewall is properly configured and all software patches and versions are loaded and up to date
  • Review firewall intrusion logs for suspect activity
  • Review DHCP status and network infrastructure
  • Review remote connectivity for security protocols
  • Make sure system backup strategy is being followed, and that back-up software is up to date and properly configured
  • Make sure scheduled backups being performed successfully and review logs
  • Run sample file restore on a back-up
  • Workstations are configured properly, temporary file storage set up, environmental variables configured and active
