Last message for 2005: YEAR-END!

Even if you are not on a calendar year, remember to end the 1099 year in Accounts Payable after your last check run of the year.

If you are running Sage PRO (or SBT/ACCPAC Pro Series) and are on a calendar year, you may close the year for all modules including the General Ledger. When you do close the year in the General Ledger, make sure all journal entries have been completed for the prior fiscal year, FY2004. The next release of PRO, version 7.4, is scheduled to eliminate this restriction.

If you want to delete transaction history, we recommend waiting until Sage PRO 7.4 is released. This version, scheduled to be released in mid-2006, changes the file structure to eliminate the current/history file designation. This new architecture will make archiving historical transactions much easier.

It's also a good idea to make a complete backup before closing, and also saving that back-up indefinitely.

Finally, you may want to consider one of our Premier Support Plans.
